The operation of any tractor can result in foreign objects thrown into the eyes, which can result in severe eye damage. Always wear safety glasses or eye shields while operating your tractor or performing any adjustments or repairs. We recommend a wide vision safety mask over spectacles or standard safety glasses.

TO ADJUST GAUGE WHEELS (See Fig. 6) Gauge wheels are properly adjusted when they are slightly off the ground when mower is at the desired cutting height in operating position. Gauge wheels then keep the deck in proper position to help prevent scalping in most terrain conditions. ADD GASOLINE.

Fill fuel tank. Use fresh, clean, regular unleaded gasoline with a minimum of 87 octane. (Use of leaded gasoline will increase carbon and lead oxide deposits and reduce valve life). Do not mix oil with gasoline. Purchase fuel in quantities that can be used within 30 days to assure fuel freshness.

We bought a Poulan riding lawn mower off craigslist. Model # 733-864 We were told that it just made a clicking sound when turned left. We have never owned a riding mower. Dh was able to get it to turn on and the motor sounds good.

However at one point of trying to get it to drive he turned it off before disengaging the blades. Now it is engaged and will not turn on. How do we disengage the blad to get the mower to turn on again? After we get the mower to turn on again how do we get it to actually drive? I'm not sure what model that is, as Google does not return any results.

Because of that, it's going to make it very hard to figure how this mower is configured. If it has a switch for the blades/PTO, make sure it's in the off position. If it just has a lever for the deck, make sure it's all the way up. Also be sure your foot is on the brake. As for driving it, it's also hard to help you with that as I can't tell from what you've said it has a manual (shift on the go) transmission or a hydrostatic.
